Get to Know Adam Kinzinger by his Voting Record

Adam Kinzinger, a freshman Republican Tea-Party Congressman in the Illinois 16th District, had been swept in office on the wave of the Tea-Party craze. Taken under the wing of Eric Cantor (VA-7) and anointed a “Young Gun” of the Republican Party.  So, who is this man being groomed as a long-term playmaker for the GOP? Some analysts have calculated Kinzinger to have only a ninth-grade speaking level, but I’m more concerned with getting to know him by what he has done for his constituents from his voting record.

Rep. Anthony Weiner [D-NY] Tries to Educate Republican Colleagues With Children's Book

Today Representative Anthony Weiner [D-NY] addressed the House with a lesson in government. During his time, Mr. Weiner tried to help his Republican colleagues by reading from a children's book on politics. "House Mouse Senate Mouse" by Cheryl Shaw Barnes Peter W. Barnes (which you can pick up a copy here at Amazon)

Perhaps an attempt to help Eric Cantor, since he still has yet publicly admitted to his error. But I am sure more Teabagger Republicans than just Eric Cantor need the lessons. I really hold Congressman Weiner in high regards. He continues to stand up for the working class Americans and he fights with passion and conviction. This Congressman has no trouble calling out the blatant hypocrisy of his Republican / Tea-Party colleagues. The other democrats ought to take notice and pay attention to this guy. I only wish he were here in my state, too bad their aren't more democrats like him.

You can watch Congressman Weiner's speech here at It's quite funny and only two minutes. A good watch!

Eric Cantor Dumber Than a Rock!

Today, Eric Cantor [R-Va.] (House Majority Leader) reveals he knows nothing about how a bill becomes a law. He said in a press statement (with Speaker Boehner standing beside him):

if the Senate fails to pass a measure before April 6, 2011 providing for the appropriations of the departments and agencies of the Government for the remainder of fiscal year 2011, H.R. 1 (as passed by the House on February 19, 2011) becomes law.

Maybe he is not dumber than a rock, and he is just confused or even forgot. Maybe he is demonstrating to us exactly why we should not cut education spending. Or then again, maybe he is just another Tea-Party idiot, who knows how to be a very good corporate "yes-man" and just do as he's told.
