Republicans Against Teachers’ Unions? Quite Hypocritical.

Recently, I had a conversation with a self-proclaimed conservative Republican about teachers’ unions and his stance against them. His overarching idea against these unions was he didn’t want his money (tax dollars) funding organizations that countered his political beliefs. His argument wasn’t completely against unions as a concept, just in cases of the publicly funded ones, e.g. teachers’ unions. He also made cases about how individuals should “stand on their own merit” when it came to wages and promotions; about how workplace safety was now protected under OSHA and therefore unions were now obsolete.

This is all, of course, complete balderdash filled with hypocrisy and conservative rhetoric.  Let me explain how deep this rabbit-hole fallacy goes.

Who is David Hale? An Insight of Rockford Tea Party's Hypocritical Organizer...[UPDATED]

David Hale is the organizer of the Rockford Tea Party and a City of Rockford Precinct Committeeman (Ward 8 Precinct 4).  Hale is perhaps best nationally known for his stint on Fox News and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart after locating the fourteen Wisconsin Senators who fled the state to delay a vote on a controversial budget proposal.  What is not as well known is that Mr. Hale is a brute who often resorts to lies and manipulation to get his way.  The mother of his child even had to file an Order of Protection against Hale in 1999, which may make one wonder if Hale is also a violent person.   Being a curious person with critical thinking skills, I decided to uncover the mystery of David Hale.  I was surprised by how much irresponsibility and hypocrisy I found. Not to mention the socialist and fascist ideas Mr. Hale possessed.

Lower Politician Wages

Over the past few days, while surfing a popular social network site, I have come across this post:

Salary of the US President. ..$400,000.
Salary of retired US Presidents ...$180,000.
Salary of House/Senate...$174, 000.
Salary of Speaker of the House...$223,500...
Salary of Majority/Minority Leaders... $193,400...
Average Salary of Soldier DEPLOYED IN IRAQ $38,000...
I think we found where the cuts should be made! If you agree, repost

Well, I of course started looking things up and thinking- Why do we pay our politicians so much? Some people tell me it's to keep corruption out of government, others say it's to attract the brightest minds.

I believe politicians should make no more than double the federal minimum wage. ($7.25/hr) Why? Well, because I think our politicians are way out of touch with the average American. Corruption exists already in our government, why not try something different?
